The Resume Plug (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

  • Resume content: When you use our service, you provide resume text and job descriptions. This content is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate your tailored resume and is not stored on our servers after processing.
  • Payment information: All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe may retain payment records as required by law.
  • Cookies: We use a single browser cookie to track whether you have used your free tailoring and whether you have paid. This cookie does not contain personal information.
  • Email (optional): If you choose to provide your email address after generating a resume, we store it to send you product updates. You can request deletion at any time.

How We Use Your Information

  • To generate your AI-tailored resume
  • To process your payment
  • To send product updates if you opted in with your email
  • To improve our service through aggregate, anonymized analytics

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

  • Anthropic: Your resume text and job description are sent to Anthropic’s API to generate your resume. Anthropic’s privacy policy governs their handling of this data.
  • Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe’s privacy policy governs their handling of payment data.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law.

Data Retention

Resume content and job descriptions are not retained after processing. Payment records are retained as required by Stripe and applicable tax law. Email addresses are retained until you request deletion.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you by contacting us at theresumeplugofficial@gmail.com.

Security

We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. We do not store sensitive resume data after your request is complete.
